Couldn't Move On

Nicki and Safaree walked into the club hand in hand. They have been together for about three months now. Nicki had just got out of a relationship, with Drake after an argument about Drake thinking Nicki had feelings for Safaree. She never did have feelings for him and still doesn't now. She only went out with him because he waited until she was weak and need someone to comfort her to ask her out.

As soon as they made it to the VIP area, Nicki's eyes landed on Drake, who was laughing with Chubbs. He looked up at Nicki then looked back at Chubbs. Nicki and Safaree sat down next to Wayne, who was already high. Nicki didn't want it to be awkward so she started a conversation with him. Drake got up and walked outside for some fresh air and Nicki watched as he left.''Aye Nic, you want to dance.''Safaree asked but Nicki shook her head no.''I'm going to go outside...um the smoke is making my dizzy.''Nicki quickly made her way through the crowd and walked outside and was met by Drake who was sitting on the bench that was outside the club door.

Nicki slowly made her way to the bench then sat down leaving some space between them.''Hey''Nicki spoke softly.''Sup''Nicki sighed and took a deep breath. Drake got up and walked towards the door but felt a hand on his arm.''Aubrey wait,'' ''What do you want Nicki?''

''I want to talk about us. What happened to us, we were happy until the argument over something stupid.'' Nicki stood up and walked up to him.''I don't know Nic, maybe it's because you're with the main person who caused us to break up.''

''Aubrey I'm only with him because we broke up. I needed someone to comfort me and he was there. I don't have feelings for Safaree and I never did. Aubrey I need you.'' For the first time of the night, Drake looked Nicki in the eyes and could see the sadness.''I don't know Nicki, I don't want to have to go through this again.''

''Aubrey please, I'm pregnant with your child and I don't want to have to raise our child by myself. I also don't want to lose you. You have been the best to me and I don't what we had taken away.''

''Wait, you said you were pregnant?''Nicki nodded with a small smile.''Yes I'm two months pregnant. I just found out yesterday.'' Drake rubbed his hand over his face, taking everything in.''Look, I'm going to be honest with you and tell you, I still love you and I want you to know that.'' ''Then why can't we be together? I want you Aubrey, I want you all to myself. I want to get engaged again like we were before, Aubrey please.''Drake pulled her closer to him by her waist and kissed her sweetly on the lips. They pulled away and looked each other in the eyes.

''I love you Aubrey.''Nicki said with a smile.''I love you too Onika.''He leaned down and kissed her again and held her waist with both hands while she wrapped her arms around his neck. Their lips moved in sync as their tongues battled.''Oh I didn't know I was interrupting.''They pulled away and turned to look at Safaree. ''What's going on here?''

''Safaree look, I don't have feelings for you and I never did. I'm in love with Aubrey and you need to know that. You came to me when I was weak and need someone to comfort me because you knew I wouldn't say no. I want to be with him and I want us to raise our child together.''

''Hold up, you telling me you pregnant with this nigga baby and that's stopping you.''Drake chuckled at how stupid he was sounding.''What's so funny mommas boy?'' ''I'm laughing at you. You don't want to accept the fact she doesn't want you.''

''Man if she wasn't pregnant we wouldn't be breaking up. You just got lucky.''Nicki rolled her eyes then spoke.''Actually Safaree if you were listening, I said I love him and want to be with him. Oh and I want you out of my house by tomorrow afternoon. If you not out by then, Drake will handle you himself.''

''And you not working for her no more. She don't need you,she can do this herself.''Safaree was pissed and offended by the fact that Nicki has been his best friend for years and she was choosing Drake over him.''Man whatever, I'm out.''Safaree walked to Nicki's car but she stopped him.''Um you catching the bus or calling a cab cause this is my shit. Aubrey you coming with me?''Drake nodded then told her to get in her car while he goes to give Chubbs the keys to his car since they came together.

Safaree stood outside the car trying to persuade Nicki to let him ride with her.''Safaree no, you can find your own damn way home.'' Drake pushed him away from the door then closed it for her. He made his way over to the drivers side then got in. Safaree kept banging on the window so Drake pulled off, running over his foot.

The whole car ride, Drake had his hand on her thigh, rubbing circles with his thumb. When they arrived at Nicki's house, Drake helped her out the car and they walked inside, locking the door behind them. Drake took Nicki upstairs to her room and sat her on the bed.''What you want to wear to bed?''

''Tshirt and panties.''Drake went into the closet and grabbed one of his tshirts Nicki still had and a pair of her panties. He grabbed a pair of his boxers and a pair of basketball shorts. Drake walked out Nicki's closet and put the clothes on the bed then took Nicki to the bathroom. Nicki turned the shower on and they stripped from their clothes. Nicki hopped in the shower with Drake behind her.

They washed each other then got out and got ready for bed. Drake laid down next to Nicki, pulling her towards him. Nicki buried her head in his neck placing tiny kisses there.''I love you Aubrey.''Nicki mumbled into his neck but he understood what she was saying.''I love you too Onika.''

''I'm glad we're happy again. Thank you for forgiving me. I hope we can just forget about everything that happened and can be a family.''

Nicki chased her three year old daughter, Audrey around the house, trying to get her dressed so they could leave for their trip to Hawaii.''Audrey get your ass over here. You need to be dressed before daddy gets back.'' Audrey stopped running and followed her mom upstairs to her room.

After Nicki finally got Audrey dressed, Nicki put their bags next to the door. Just as she set them down, Drake came in.''Hi babe.''Nicki kissed his lips after hugging him.''Hey, yall ready to go.''

''Yeah just need to get your daughter and the bags in the car. You put the bags in the car and I will try to get Audrey to at least go outside. She is being hard headed.''Drake nodded and grabbed the bags before walking out to the car. Nicki was about to go upstairs but Audrey ran down and tried to pass Nicki. Nicki caught her and took her out to the car.

She buckled her up and went inside to get her important things before grabbing the last bag and walking out, locking the door behind her. Drake took the bag and put it in the car as Nicki got in. Drake closed the trunk then got in on the drivers side and drove away to the airport, where their private jet was waiting for them.

Drake pulled up at his girlfriend, Nicki parents house. She was at work so he decided to go and speak to her father about something important.

He walked up to the door and rung the doorbell. Nicki's mother, Carol answered the door and hugged the young man.''Aubrey what are you doing here?''She let him in and led him to the living room.''I have to ask Robert a question.''Carol went to get him and he walked in moments later, sitting down across from him.''What do you want to ask me?''

''I plan on proposing to Nicki but I want your blessing before doing it.''Robert looked at him with cold eyes and a mean mug on his face.

Later that night, Nicki and Drake were laying in bed laughing and playing around. Nicki laughed as Drake tickled her. He stopped any pulled her on top of him. Her grabbed the ring from pocket and sat them up.

She nodded her head, unable to say anything.''Yes, yes I will marry you!''He slid the ring on her finger fust as the doorbell rang. They both got up and went to answer it, seeing Robert standing there.''Daddy what are you doing here?''

''Fine but don't come running to me when he breaks your heart.''Robert left leaving them confused.''Don't listen to him, I will never hurt you.''He softly kissed her lips and took her back to their room to ''celebrate'' their engagement and maybe even work on their first baby.

After their love making session, Nicki and Drake laid looking into each others eyes.''I love you Brey.''Nicki kissed his lips.''I love you too Nika.''Nicki laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes. Drake kissed her forehead and closed his eye, falling asleep as well.
